Turn government over to the Mafia. This has several advantages:
-Voting will be mandatory, y’unnerstan?
-Foreign policy would still be a protection racked but it’d be much more honest. ‘You gotta lotta nice camels here. Be a shame if some was to set fire to them.’
-Words like ‘fugazi’ and ‘va fan gool’ would make press releases a lot more interesting.
-Police shootings would decrease, while police income would rise.
-Neighbourhoods would be safer. A lot safer. Capice?
-Election season would be much shorter.

Here's a novel idea, ye lot could try democracy. It'd involve ripping up the current constitution, but given that it's only honoured in the breach, that's no loss.
