[Serious] Thus is born the "LOST CAUSE" of this century.

RE: Thus is born the "LOST CAUSE" of this century.
I think Trump is likely to kick up a minor fuss then concede, probably less than a week after Biden is declared the winner.

Trump doesn’t want to be president. He hates being president. He’ll flap just enough to save face, then go whinging off into the sunset. He’ll mollify his followers by spending the rest of his life complaining about how the election was stolen from him.

The man thinks he a god. Makes it rough for the rest of the gods to get loans or sign a lease.

Which is precisely why he doesn’t want to win. He says it a lot: variations on, ‘I miss my old life.’

He likes power, he doesn’t like power that comes with restraints. This is why he spends so much time campaigning for Biden.

But I can also see rabid trumpanzees changing the vote with their own bad behavior.  I can see them, for example, marching around polling places, armed to the teeth (open carrying, obviously), threatening anyone who "looks" like a biden voter (which means they'll shoot at anyone who's black or hispanic or visibly LGBT).  I even remember reading an article a while back about a trump supporter breaking into a mailbox and throwing out the mail because he heard that democrats are more likely to mail in ballots.  If these kinds of stunts keep happening, I could see Trump easily "winning" simply through grass roots voter suppression.

This election is going to be a doozy.  I'm honestly afraid what's going to happen in a week.

This might sound silly, but what about Democrat voters wearing Trumpish "camouflage", yet with a small almost unnoticeable to the trumpanzees (love that word, btw) marker that they're actually gonna vote Biden? Or is that just a silly stretch? IDK.

If any, I'd imagine a lot of Democrat voters having a MAGA hat handy in the off case they get their "loyalties" questioned. I would. I certainly have to camouflage my lack of beliefs where I live in public from time to time.

I have said for years - Trump was probably the most surprised guy on the planet when he was declared winner.

I suspect it started off as a goof - and it got away from him...

The only reason I can see for Trump wanting to win is that he can't stand to lose.

I am prepared for November, December, and January to be an even bigger shit show than the last four years have been, no matter who wins.

I suspect that on some level, whether he’s conscious of it or not, he feels like he DID lose by winning the presidency. As OLB said, he didn’t expect to win - it was a marketing ploy gone pear shaped. He hates the job so much, the last thing he wants is another four years of it. His bitching about the election is something he’s going to have to do in order to maintain the delusion that he’s built of himself.

But I agree - he’s the same petulant, spoiled man-baby he’s always been, and he’s going to use the next three months to make things as difficult as possible for Biden.

He was challenged to run by that comedy show guy, forget his name. The guy apologized to the country a few months ago.
