Yep, the Electoral College has officially voted and Biden reached the 270 votes he needed to win.

The Electoral College gave Joe Biden a solid majority of its votes Monday, confirming his victory in last month’s election in state-by-state voting that took on added importance this year because of President Donald Trump’s refusal to concede he lost.

California’s 55 electoral votes put Biden over the top, clearing the 270-vote mark that affirmed he will be the nation’s next president.

And nothing short of a proper coup will let Trump stay in office.

I think the best thing Americans could do going forward is to remember the names (write them down if you must) of every single representative and every single attorney general who signed on to that stupid, moronic lawsuit and - if they’re in your state, district, however you do it there - vote against them. Encourage your friends, neighbours and coworkers to vote against them. Volunteer for their opponents’ campaigns. 

These are people willingly and knowingly tried to subvert a legal election. They don’t deserve your support and they’re counting on your indifference.

And given that, a few months ago, they decided against writing a new platform for the election (for the first time in recorded history), and chose instead to focus on the Trump cult of personality in lieu of literally anything else, not even an amendment for a COVID policy, I doubt that's going to happen. Hell, they haven't even come to terms with Biden winning the election. In 2016, I hoped that the whole Trump movement would end up being the moment where the GOP's Raskolnikov met Trump's Svidrigailoff, confronting someone who takes their policies to their logical and monstrous extremes, and four years later, it turned out, in this case, Raskolnikov and Svidrigailoff got along just fine. And the rest of the world is worse, and they wouldn't have it any other way.

Anywho, there's nothing wrong with the electoral college system that isn't wrong with any other system.  They can all be gamed.

I would say that the EC system is far more easily gamed than any of the Irish election systems. But when you look at it, it was designed to be gamed.
