Now if this is not some sick seditious shit. Michael Flynn suggested the military be sent into the swing states to force a redo election.

I don't give a fuck. I could give a shit less what his motivation is. The votes were legal, both Republicans and Democrats oversaw all the polling places, and both Democrats and Republicans were side by side counting, and even recounting the votes. Election officials certified the results. And The Department Of Homeland Security and even Bill Barr said there was no evidence of a widespread conspiracy of fraud. Not to mention we just had the electoral college certify all 50 states.

Again, not the point. He, and others are still clinging to these conspiracies and still peddling them. Trump will leave for sure, but the damage keeps being done every time one of these fuckers keep repeating this shit. Long term it can erode the public trust in our processes.

I would love to think after Trump leaves all the conspiracy crap will fade away, but I don't think it will.

It’s not illegal cling to and peddle conspiracy theories, and what Flynn did certainly doesn’t rise to the level of sedition.

And it seems pretty clear that public trust in the process is already eroded. Once again, you’ve got yourself into a tizzy over a non-event.

1. Illegal and immoral are two separate issues. It most certainly at a minimum is immoral to scare people into taking action. There have been people threatened and assaulted because these conspiracies are being peddled by those in power.

2. Trust in the process is vital to our free society surviving long term.

Those in high positions of power selling conspiracies can have a very dangerous long term corrosive effect.

I have no doubt Trump will leave, on his own or get drug out. But that will not change the fact angry people who support him hang on his words and do have the potential to get violent themselves.

Don't forget about the 13 men arrested for plotting to kidnap Michigan's governor.

Don't forget the politician who assaulted a reporter. Greg Gianforte.

Don't forget the clip of a Trump supporter punching a protester at one of his rallies.

Then there is this guy.

And the GOP talks of secession too.

Even Republican officials are not safe because of this dangerous rhetoric.

If you are going to concede that trust in our process is "already eroded" then that sets the condition for domestic terrorism at a minimum. But to falsely assume it will magically subside, or that long term it can't destroy our Republic, would be a dangerous complacent assumption.

This rhetoric has a long term cumulative effect. Trump supporters DO act on his words.

The only way this goes away is if enough high profile GOP in congress demand Trump and his circle stop peddling this fear and conspiracy. The GOP are cowards say outside a few, but not enough.

I only mentioned that it isn’t illegal because you falsely accused Flynn of committing a crime.

I agree about the long term effects you mention, but I’m not sure what’s to be done about people spreading this nonsense that doesn’t severely curtail freedom of speech. Is that what you want to do - abrogate the right of free expression for speech you don’t like?

None of the rest of your post is germane to the topic.
