I'm not sorry to say bullshit.  Live is almost always better because of the difficulty involved and spontaneity produced. 

One great thing about that performance is how the crowd sings along to an instrumental song.  Those folks are jacked up and Rush responds.

If I'm listening on headphones, I generally prefer studio recordings.  But if watching a video, live is the way to go.  So, to sum up, bullshit.

I saw Rush and Neil Peart what a drummer BUT his solos went on far too long. I was at a Rush concert in the 90s and saw one of his solos, very clever, but come on, finally he raised his arms, good its over I thought.
The drum set rotated presenting him with a fresh slightly different drum kit and away he went again.

I can't remember a drum solo that held my attention longer than. . .  squirrel!

And it seems like they all start like Ringo's bit in the End.  My cue to hit the can.
