Jan. 4, 2021. What a great day!

RE: Jan. 4, 2021. What a great day!
I honestly don't know how I would have reacted if this had happened when my three were still home and in school. Just keeping them from killing each other would have been a challenge...actually keeping the middle one from killing the other two would have been the real challenge.

Yep the infighting and overparenting going on is stifling! You see, my eldest two are 17 and 18, while my youngest is eight! This means that the eldest take great pleasure in bossing around the little guy. I imagine they are taking out their frustrations of being scolded by scolding the youngest. Shit runs downhill after all.

Mine were nearly ten years apart from oldest to youngest but the middle one was closer to being right in the middle.  She's still a pill and she'll be 40 this year.  The other two are still fine and get along well.  What saves us is being 1,000 miles away from the quintessential middle child.

I was a bad parent...middle child called me at work one day sobbing (fake) that her younger brother had hit her in the face with a frying pan.  They were about 8 and 13 at the time.  My first response (filter did not deploy) was, "What did you do to him?"

Ah, that's something else. I thought you called your wife "boss lady" because she was bossing you around. I've seen such men, that's why I thought you were one of them. My bad. Tongue

I used to tell officers to stop bugging me. A mere woman, no luck at all.

Mrs Zebo aka Boss Lady or Mad Cat Woman has her birthday on December 25th, Christmas stuff in the morning and birthday stuff in the evening. Never been quite brave enough to risk one combined card, she knows where the sharpest blades are in the kitchen! Smile
