He needs to have his nuts handed to him in a public forum...preferably by Pelosi and Hillary.

I am not saying he isn't a heinous asshole. Clearly he is. Clearly he is unfit and never should have been allowed the job.
The question is - at what price? Is throwing him out of office a week early worth the possible (my guess is - likely) high cost?

While he's in there he can get someone to figure out his pre-pardon and he walks off into the sunset having fucked the US real good.

If, for no other reason, he needs to be knocked down.  Let the record show that he was twice impeached and then go after the others in office who helped him pull all this crap.  If he is impeached for inciting a riot it's going to make it a lot easier to get the "little" guys on the same charge, such as Hawley and that weak-chinned Cruz.

He’s got to be convicted before he can be banned from holding office in the future. Disqualification is one of the punishments attendant upon the conviction. To disqualify him without convicting him would be like putting a man in prison for bank robbery after he was acquitted of the charge.

I don’t disagree. But I think he should get special treatment under the law, like revoking statutes of limitations just for him. That way, he can be charged with every crime he’s committed since 1964.

There are times to try to save money.  This isn't one of them.  He needs to be made an example of, legally.  Legal precedent needs to be set, now.

He is too dangerous not to try. Every day he is in office he becomes more unglued. 

He has said nothing about the continuing threats coming from right wing groups. Even if the Capital is not attacked again, the right wing militia nuts will attack softer targets like State Houses, election officials houses, or even Twitter and Facebook employees. 

He has to be punished to send a message that inciting sedition is not acceptable or forgivable.

He simply does not care or care to understand that people DO act on his words. He's had 4 years in office inciting people, and those words add up over time. We have no choice but to go after him through the process and legal means. Otherwise he will be setting a dangerous precedence that future Presidents, smarter than him, and not bombastic, whom may have the same intent, could complete the coup he failed at.

Impeachment and conviction would make it impossible for him to hold a federal office after that date. The GOP would be free to choose a non-lunatic, if any such were to miraculously appear.
