I think that we may have passed the start of facism a few off ramps ago. We keep telling ourselves, at every step, that it's the start - because we're uncomfortable with the fact that Some People™ genuinely stopped believing in democracy a long time ago, if they ever had. If they could just kill their political rivals that would be great. Is that on the table? They seem to think it is.
