I my experience, most people who smoke need to cut back and many who don't need to pick it up.  If lung health is a concern, eat a gummy and chill the fuck out.  Do us all a favor.

Driving while impaired is illegal, and weed is an impairment.  So is anger and ignorance.

My point is the same with anything, legal or illegal, regardless of location law, if it can hinder your perception it is worthy of regulation in regards of public interaction, such as driving or being on the job. 

Planes are not likely to crash, but nobody would think it would be ok for a passenger jet pilot to be drunk or high on pot when flying.

Do you know if DUI laws in the US include marijuana? I expect that even if it's completely legal, there are still restrictions on how fucked up you can be when you're driving.

That is my point. Even with some pot smokers, they behave like some bar hoppers and claim they know what they are doing, and anyone willing to drink one drop, or take one toke, and drive after do not know what they are doing.

Are you saying that one puff or one beer means a person is no longer aware of what they are doing?

I would like to see a drunk and stoned Olympics, where athletes compete to show just what drunk, stoned people can do.  Let's put canoes on a frothy stream and see who performs.

Pot was never my thing but I have family members who smoke on the regular. The "guy" who is the source has three levels of fuckedupedness to classify his wares. The rule is if you plan to smoke the top level you aren't going to leave the house....not even walking.

Mostly it's smoke and chill.

But all have some years and sense on them and know not to drive impaired. That's not to say they knew (or abided by) that in their younger years.

Doesn't matter how you got fucked up in most states. If you can't pass the tests you are officially "under the influence."

I hate the idea of smoking, because it is disgusting to breathe stuff into the lungs, and it gives an unregulated dose. Just chill on gummies and get the exact dose you like.

Pot is an amazing anti-anxiety drug with almost no side effects at smaller doses. It is better and safer for chilling than alcohol. Just don't abuse the stuff.

And yeah, have some in the evening, and some of it will still be in your system in the morning. It doesn't get metabolized as fast as alcohol. That means don't drive at all after using (though it is likely less impairing than alcohol).
