I found only those not secure in their own beliefs feel a need to torment others about theirs.

You didn't read my OP at all very well, Drich. I am talking about taking the concept and imagery of Hell, demons, and Satan and enjoying it as a sign of rebellion. Christians clutch their pearls over any sign or symbol of evil and I liked the idea of mocking that display of fear and weakness.

Mostly though, this is not something I have done and it is not something I was encouraging as some sort of attack. Taking the example of Lil NasX, he was using a controversial symbol to tell his story of independence and freedom from oppressive and abusive ideology, knowing full well that those he was rebelling against would not hear or see his story and would merely get their panties twisted over him commandeering their iconography. In the same way, I expressed a desire to write my own version of a story I once had held in high regard, the story of a boy chosen by God, built on a hill of lies. After all the cognitive dissonance I endured in order to make Joseph Smith's story a heroic tale, a righteous tale, setting aside my instincts telling me that it was a scam, it would be healing and fun to write it as a story of madness and duality.

He neither said that he mocks religion nor that he considers himself superior. He simply asked a question about it. Your bad reading comprehension racks up yet another fail with you falsely attributing things to others.

I just read a little snippet of an article about how the Duggar family (they with many children) don't call "deviled eggs" deviled eggs but instead call them angel eggs.

Just how scared of a fictional character do you have to be to go that far?  They still eat them but had to change the name, just in case.

I wonder what they call Devil's Food Cake seeing that Chocolate Cake and Angel Food Cake are already taken. Perhaps they just avoid it like they avoid the press and the idea of personal responsibility...

My mother pretty much always made Devil's Food cake for me on my birthdays. My name is Steven, but she wanted to make it Stevie when I was little. When I got in trouble, I was called Steven, and that's what stuck. I was a right little shit as a child, but my brother one year younger was the real instigator of trouble. Like taking the wheels off a younger sister's baby buggy to make a coaster "hot rod" to ride down the steep hill that our street dead-ended into. The first hard turn caused them to turn cone-shaped. Those wire wheels weren't meant for anything but straight-line pram rides by a 6 year old girl and her dolly.
