Then why do statistics show you are far more likely to get COVID from somebody who has symptoms than from somebody who is asymptomatic (like the vast majority of children who get COVID are)?

Is a child more likely to get infected with COVID if schools are open? Probably. Is they likely to infect some older person who will die from COVID? No, because the vast majority of children who get COVID do not cough from it (they are asymptomatic).

I am afraid it indeed had to be this way. The USA is the country with the highest incidence of type-2-diabetes and among the highest from heart disease, both of which drastically increase the risk of somebody dying from COVID. Sure, if the Cuomo's ridiculous policy of putting COVID patients into nursing homes was not followed, the number of people dying from COVID would have been lower by a few tens of thousands, but I am afraid that is it.

Pretty sure it's already been explained to you that you don't have to be hacking your lungs out to spread droplets. I'm also willing to bet that they are more likely to infect their granny than a kid who didn't have covid. What do you think?
