Yeah, whatever the Ethics Committee can do would really hinge entirely on the Congressperson in question A) knowing what shame is, B) being able to take their recommendations to heart, and C) both parties giving a shit about the rule of law. But, as far as I can tell, Gaetz has no shame whatsoever, and belongs to a party that cares so much about the rule of law that, if the President was of their party and openly incited an insurrection to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power, overturn the will of the people, and attempt a
self-coup, and did so live on national television, they'd refuse to convict him. Not even if it's the legislative equivalent of getting Joe Pesci knocked off in
