His behaviour in the classroom was sufficiently bizarre that a psychiatric assessment should probably be done.  It might turn out that he's dealing with a psychosis, and needs to be medicated and closely supervised.

In a proper system that could be done in jail. Given that he's a state represtentative for the traitor party, he'll be given every opportunity to get it.

In the US penal system he'll get far worse than he gave. Not a proper system of treatment, for certain.

Being one of those in power, if he sees any jail time it'll be in open prison with all mod cons and full access to the best treatment.
