Anyone watching the NFL draft?

Anyone watching the NFL draft?
I can't speak for other teams, but I am happy Washington got Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins. And not just because that was my mom's college she graduated from. I simply hope he doesn't get put into the position of doing what Robert Griffin was put into. I don't like seeing quarterbacks scrambling on every play like they are a running back. I like like old school QBs, that have a offensive line that can protect the pocket and give the QB time to do their checkdown, and don't have to scramble every play.

Haskins put up some great numbers at Ohio State. But it won't mean shit if he can't stay healthy if he is getting knocked on his ass every other play.

Trevor Lawrence from Clemson going to the Jaquars. I may have a football team to watch this fall.

I forgot if it was the first year, or the second year of the expansion teams of the Jags and Panthers, but both made it to the respective NFC/AFC championships, but lost.

I thought it would have been fun to have two cats face off in the big dance. That Superbowl could have been called "The Litterbox"...... "Cats" get it, see what I did there? I do remember rooting for the Jags that year. That was the year their logo looked too much like the car company, and Jaguar gave them a desist order or sued them. I don't see how you can confuse a football team for a car company.

But one thing as a Washington fan since the end of the days of Bobby Bethard and the Hogs, is that I never depend on a draft. 92 was Washington's last Superbowl win. Since 92 always hear from other fans, "we got this player, we got that player" ok fine, but one thing Washington hasn't had sinc 92 was depth and consistancy on all sides of the ball.

I love that we Picked Haskins sure, but I am a "I'll believe it when I see it".

But in all seriousness. I'll root for the Jags before Tampa, or the Patriots. Hell, I'd love to see Cleveland win a Superbowl as long as they are not facing Washington. But as long as Danny owns that team, I really am not sure how constistant we will ever be. Maybe the Jags will have better luck.

Really? You tell me exactly what is so "deadly" about Colin kneeling? How about the fact that Bush Jr never served in combat like Sr, and got us into a war with Iraq when the 19 Hijackers were a majority from Saudi Arabia? And what did the former guy do when it was pointed out that our Intel told him that the prince had the journalist murdered? FUCKING NOTHING!

If neither Colin or Tom Brady were famous, who do you think between the two would be more likely to be treated more harshly by the courts or police, if neither were famous?

Colin isn't spoiled you jackass. Even if he had never become famous, I think of guys like him, and how much less bullied I would have been if I had had him as as a friend growing up. Colin isn't spoiled, he lost his carreer for doing the right thing and going against the grain. He doesn't do it for fame or money or attention. And he isn't falsely playing victim. He simply has done what pleanty of minorites have done in human history, including white women who fought for the right to vote.

Colin's fame doesn't make him spoiled. It merely makes him a powerful voice, just like Susan B Anthony and Rosa Parks were not doing it for the money. If Colin were spoiled, he would have kept his mouth shut. Doing the right thing is doing it even in the face of adversity.

I am so sick of the bullshit logic, " Operah is a billionaire and America elected Obama" as the end all and that means blacks are complaining and falsely playing victim. THAT IS SHUCH BULLSHIT.

Human equality, isn't about tokenism. Minorities who move up, are not looking for anything but equality. Colin is not spoiled. The former guy was.

Boru

How did you rightfully point out Pat Tillman in rightfully responding to OLB.

Colin didn't serve in the military like Tillman did, but Bush Jr never saw combat like his dad did.

OLB was making a joke, you daft pilchard. Nothing there worth setting you off on a rant.
