Tennessee Planned Parenthood destroyed in early morning fire

A Tennessee Planned Parenthood building was destroyed by an early morning fire on Friday, Planned Parenthood officials said.

“This is a huge loss for the community, and we hope that there are no resulting injuries or damage to neighboring properties,” Coffield said. "We are fully cooperating with the authorities as they assess the cause of the fire.”

Seymour said on Friday afternoon it was too early to know what caused the fire. Parts of the building were still unsafe to enter.

In January 2021 someone fired a shotgun at the doors of the same Knoxville clinic, shattering the glass and peppering the reception area with holes. At the time of the shooting, the clinic was closed and unoccupied.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

A total of 874 cars were set on fire throughout France amid New Year's Eve celebrations, a reduction from pre-pandemic numbers, the French Interior Ministry said Saturday. The 874 vehicles burned in observance of a decades-old tradition was down from 1,316 set ablaze in 2019 as the interior ministry said 2020 numbers were not comparable because of a curfew enacted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Alexa Attempts To Set Off Robot Revolt By Telling Kid To Touch Live Plug With Penny

In a now-viral tweet on Sunday, Kristin Livdahl of Oakdale, Minnesota, said that when her 10-year-old daughter asked the Alexa voice assistant on their Amazon Echo for a “challenge,” it suggested the child do something lethal.

“OMFG My 10 year old just asked Alexa on our Echo for a challenge and this is what she said,” she wrote.
Livdahl accompanied her post with a screenshot of what the smart speaker asked her daughter to do.
“Plug in a phone charger about halfway into a wall outlet, then touch a penny to the exposed prongs,” it said.

An Amazon spokesperson told HuffPost via email that as soon as the company became aware of this error, it quickly fixed it.

“[We] will continue to advance our systems to prevent similar responses in the future,” the company said.

... Alexa apparently suggested the child partake in a challenge that it had “found on the web,” citing an article on ourcommunitynow.com, a local news website, about something called “the outlet challenge.”

The article explains that the challenge became a TikTok trend in 2020 and points out how unsafe it is.

And yet, many people insist that Freemasons are evil

Quote:Shaquille O'Neal Gifted 1000 PS5s And Nintendo Switches To Underprivileged Kids On Christmas: “My Parents Didn’t Have A Lot. But They Taught Me The Value of Giving Back.”

He brought 1000 PS5s and Nintendo Switches and distributed them to kid in an elementary school.
Via EssentiallySports:

"My father was a drill sergeant, my mother just was a hard-working woman. They had little, but they taught me the value of giving back. They taught me the value of helping those in need. I called you know, my friend from Nintendo Switch. Ordered about 1000 Switches and 1000 PS5s. I went to Walmart and got bikes. So you know yesterday, at this little elementary school in McDonough Georgia, kids were crying, kids were happy. And that’s what it’s all about."
