Joe Rogan has said he will not be working at UFC 315 in May, as he would “rather go to Russia” than Canada, where the event will play out.
UFC 315 is scheduled for 10 May at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, and given the fight card’s status as a pay-per-view event, many fans expected Rogan to be on commentary duties for the UFC.
However, the American has played down the idea. Speaking on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience on Saturday, the 57-year-old said: “I won’t be there. I don’t go to Canada anymore, I don’t. I’d rather go to Russia.”

From the article:
Quote:Potential organ donors in the United States are screened for viruses, bacteria and other infections; however, rabies is not usually among those tests, in part because the test for it takes too long and because the infection is so rare in people.
Maybe that’s a protocol that could be changed.

A student at Tufts University with a legal student visa was picked up by ICE. Tufts is in Massachusetts, but she's been transferred to a holding facility in Louisiana.
She was taken because she wrote an op-ed in the student paper saying that school administrators should honor the vote of the Tufts Community Union Senate demanding that the school acknowledge and condemn Israel's ongoing genocide of the Palestinians.
Here is her editorial:
https://www.tuftsdaily.com/article/2024/03/4ftk27sm6jkj
In what's becoming a typical move, her claim for an end to the violence has been dishonestly interpreted as "support for Hamas." Though if you read the editorial you can see she doesn't mention Hamas and is not supporting any kind of violence. She is not the only person to be detained and punished for saying that mass murder is bad, though her abduction was particularly scary, since she was snatched off the street by a group of men in plain clothes.
It should come as no surprise that the mechanism Trump touted as protecting us from illegal aliens is now being used to silence legal aliens who oppose violent Zionism.

What happened when a newspaper let AI take over
Quote:Cerasa said the idea of integrating AI into Il Foglio first took shape about a year ago. The newspaper began publishing one article a week written by AI, without disclosing it, and asked readers to guess which article had been written by AI. Those who guessed correctly would be prompted to subscribe to Il Foglio and get a free bottle of champagne. Cerasa said most readers guessed correctly and were “enthusiastic” about the experiment. The cases in which readers guessed incorrectly convinced him that his writers’ work was too commonplace, not creative enough, and that Il Foglio had to “improve our journalism,” he said.
About two months ago, Cerasa had the idea to launch a limited edition written entirely by AI and ran tests by feeding prompts into ChatGPT Pro. Every day for the past week, Cerasa has asked ChatGPT to produce articles about a particular topic and told it to stay faithful to the editorial line of Il Foglio — which Cerasa describes as pro-European, pro-globalization and anti-populist.
Far from producing content equal to a human’s, Cerasa said ChatGPT has produced articles with factual errors or typos, invented events that never actually happened, and produced monotonous and stale writing. His solution: Assign two (human) journalists to fact-check the articles before they are published in Foglio AI. Fake news is removed but minor errors and bad writing are left in, he said, because he believes they show the limitations of AI.

So do the fake articles/claims, but the problem then becomes most people are too lazy to double-check.

Trump Targets The Smithsonian
Quote:Following Trump's takeover of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts - and its subsequent cascade of program and artist cancellations following the news of the president appointing himself chairman - Trump announced his executive order to eliminate "anti-American ideology" from the Smithsonian Institution. He directed that Vice President JD Vance lead the purge within the institution, including its museums, education and research centers, and the National Zoo.
