The true goal of this sham is to end capitalism, weaken America, and make us ripe for Marxist takeover.  (Notice China is never held to account for THEIR massive pollution output.  Nor are they browbeaten to pay.  That's the clue right there.)

Your comments are not based on data.  No, scientists have been warning about this for a century now and the data supports the science.

If the goal was to end capitalism, then why promote different sources of energy?  Sources that aren't even new; we've been working with them since the middle of the 20th century.

And there are tons of other good reasons to curtail our use of oil and coal.  This is nothing new, btw.  Societies have made major shifts in fuel sources before with generally positive results.  And in those situations it was typically because the conditions forced them to do something.  Everyone in London once burned coal in their hearth and the entire city was a cloud of smog.  I'm sure that when someone said we need to stop burning all this coal there was someone else screaming "Socialist"!!!
And if moving to alternative power was an evil communist ploy to weaken America why is China so heavily invested in Solar

To be fair, chinas investment in solar actually was an evil plot. The solar industry that people are thinking of when they imagine alt power was a product of silicon valley waste. They were turning industrial garbage into pvs and the people doing it were ideologically green minded. The chinese state engaged in a corporate capture of that market and it's internal benchmarker in order to claim that their ever dirtier panels were cleaner year over year.

The end product of this is that...commercially, solar panels are dirty. As in completely filthy - from an ecological and social justice pov. Child slaves working dirty furnaces supplied by removal excavation in a corrupt system.

They're invested because they built it and needed to market it and knew they could market it. They're getting their dev power from an aggressive fossil fuel plant program. Imagine if the us built all it's fossil fuel infrastructure -and- it's alternative infrastructure at once. That's what china has been doing - just in living memory.

Oh I know, lol, but I think it deserves mention. It's not a bad idea - but china doing it has nothing to do with whether or not it's a bad idea.

Considering that most people have sold their souls in the business world and don't defend justice despite virtue signalling, I'd say Earth's environment is jeopardized. In the past, a lot more businesses did not treat people like replaceable machine parts of wage slavery nor replaced them with machines. People were a lot more happy and wealthy when that happened. Now, younger generations have created this miserable poverty that benefits wealthy people with antisocial personality disorder like Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and other people that kleptocratically benefit from cheap labor from countries with lacking human rights. On top of that, this world has become Orwellian internationally. Elites causing online surveillance, controlling the internet, and using international politicians as pawns for soul-selling profits just make me sick to my stomach. Now, these elites don't want lower class citizens to have politically incorrect fun. So, they suck the fun out of them through draconian witch hunts to make lower class citizens become miserable towards these wealthy assholes. These draconian witch hunts have already happened on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, Reddit, Amazon, and other anti-intellectual platforms that promote virtue signalling, snowflakes, emotional incontinence, dishonesty, feminazis, putting feelings before hard facts, closed-minded echo chambers, silencing outspoken people in favor of simps, etc. Politically incorrect comedians are being silenced and blacklisted more than ever. Let that sink in. Which is why I have no hope for how people, especially the elites, are running our world we live in so far. So I expect air pollution, water pollution, food pollution, employee working conditions, house prices, healthcare, television shows, films, music, art, infrastructure, and many other things to get worse internationally.

Industry and business were more rapacious and dismissive in past, not less. Happiness and wealth, similarly, tracking up - not down. Still, you're in good company thinking otherwise, myth of a golden age, all the good times past and gone sort of thing.

I think, to tie the ancient mythicists with disaffected modern critics, the notion isn't actually informed by whether industry or business is more or less ethical (or environmentally minded) or whether wealth is going up or down - but the gulf of opportunity and property between the least and best, as they saw it. Ancient greeks never shied away from pointing out how the kings had more and the people had more - and how that had made them all soft. We never tire, it seems, to imagine that people who work harder for less today than, say, yesteryear, are somehow also softer today.

As for the other thing..younger generations, factually speaking, don't do much of anything with respect to the political or economic policies and realities of a nation. Or, at least, they haven't yet. It would be foolish to pretend that the world we live in wasn't created by boomers. This miserable poverty, as you put it, aint the younger generations bag - though we'll have to pay that bill - as the debtor plans to be dead before the taxman cometh. The rest of that was just boilerplate grievance rhetoric about being called an asshole for having "non pc fun". Finding alot of witches in these witchhunts, which is strange..for witchhunts.

I wonder if you ever had any hope for people, if all of that is just cover for bog standard misanthropy, which was a previously existing condition? To give you some context, my wife is a progressive genx christian, I'm a neocon millennial antitheist. She's in the business of selling businesses on making their jobs less shitty for employees, and I'm in the business of intensive and regenerative agriculture. We've both seen things become easier for us over the span of our careers - both in the amount of money we make, and in the amount of unsolicited interest and compliance from our respective clients. What our adult lives have been, what we see (and, granted, this is as idiosyncratic as your own perception) - is that there was a lull in progress that may be argued to have disadvantaged us, but it won't impact our children, if we have anything to say about it. Both of our sets of parents see things more in line with how you described them - but, as I mentioned..we kind of write that down to them having taken out the loan and lived on the largess and not felt the sting of the terms. Many, I think, never knew (and still won't accept) that they borrowed gravely against their own family's future with no credible ability to repay. Hell of a surprise, I try not to be a huge dick about it to them.

#1 - You need to define what you mean by "in the past".  Before labor unions workers were treated like indentured servants or even slaves.  Safety was not valued, happiness was not even a concept, wages were extremely low, punishments could include beatings and shooting people.  That got better in the mid-20th century, but in the past 30 years or so wage stagnation has locked people in low paying jobs.

#2 - Why do people keep referring to Bill Gates when they complain about industry.  Gates retired years ago and has been working for his nonprofit foundation since.  Get up to date.  And even if you want to complain about labor in his ear, 1980's - 2006, you would do well to pick better candidates.  Gates created a software company, and an entire industry, out of nothing, not to mention more technology products than you could count.  I wouldn't point at him as the bad guy.

The rest of your rant just sounds like a poorly constructed rant.  Really nothing there of substance.  They don't make my favorite brand of ice cream anymore, I don't like the color sneakers come in...blah, blah, blah.
Why is it so?

RE: Global warming: Are we doomed? A poll.
Happiness has tracked down in the countries because of humans being treated like replaceable machine parts while elites get much wealthier. It's why the rate of depression, anxiety, and suicides have risen. Amazon, Walmart, HP, Dell, Apple, the video game companies, and other companies have caused employees to have degenerated mental health due to sweatshop policies that only benefit antisocial elites, not everyone. Also, America has started to dehumanize lower class citizens through the for-profit prison indsutry that benefits only elites. Crime, poverty, and and misery were the results of that. The U.S. politicians have barred people with high I.Q.s from being cops. Which shows America has a culture based on anti-intellectual fearmongering controlled by modern day nazis who don't want cops being smart enough to question authority. Canada and Europe have decreased free speech, which is why they have brainwashing regimes now. Europe has decreased gun rights to make their citizens become passive-aggressively emasculated by not letting them have power over their governments if they become tyrannical. Human rights are a joke if gun rights aren't protected in the face of tyrants. Most Asian countries continue to treat females like subhuman beings politically, which has caused some Asian females to escape Asian countries where they will be legally protected better and more opportunities. Some Asian females have left Asia to go to America. Because America has higher wages, more entrepreneurs, and wider business oppportunities than Asian countries on average. Because Asian countries have patriarchy and political elitism that make lower class citizens poorer, especially females. There is even political corruption that makes Chinese court systems favor rich and powerful people over normal citizens. That's not a way to make average Chinese people be happy and wealthy. Otherwise, some Asian females have left Asia to go to European countries. Because European countries have stronger social safety nets, infrastructure, education systems, and self-control than America does to prevent greedy degeneracy. Which all of those things make the European countries have less crime, illiteracy, health disorders, personality disorders, poverty, and misery than America on average. But Asian continues to fail at human rights.

There used to be more free speech on popular social media platforms. But now, that has been replaced by closed-minded echo chambers.

It'd be more pleasant if it were a complaint about icecream and sneakers - but it isn;t. A huge amount of americans are complaining that they can't be racist assholes..anymore...when all evidence points to the contrary. They are being racist assholes. No one's stopped them.

I long for a good rant about a discontinued flavor of ice cream - that would be an improvement.

This shit right here, though, takes big giant balls, or a simple mind

Quote:Because Asian countries have patriarchy and political elitism that make lower class citizens poorer, especially females. There is even political corruption that makes Chinese court systems favor rich and powerful people over normal citizens.

The asian ones? Chinese courts? Pretty sure that's an accurate description of americas current existential issue.

Quote:That's not a way to make average Chinese people be happy and wealthy
-or americans, one would assume.

I'd love to point out that..if that's what you see as a problem, then, buddy - I see it too. But going on about bill gates and whippersnappers and frozen peaches isn't going to fix any of that. That's the method by which that status quo, that you and I both see as an issue, is maintained.
