It’s kind of a crapshoot, I admit. Nick Crowley has a series on his YouTube channel about his investigations of a ring of channels that purport to show animal rescues, that in reality, are not only staged, but often involved actual animal cruelty. I can remember him talking of at least two incidents where animals that had previously been “rescued” ended up getting killed. And he traced some of them (at least a few of these channels were run by the same person) to Vietnam, which apparently doesn’t even have laws on the books against this kind of thing. So, for the record, Nick Crowley has over a million subs, and the first of these videos is the most viewed video on his channel. So, when it comes time for someone to get punished, who got it? Nick. Those videos became age-restricted, he got warnings for community guidelines violations, and the animal-killers (while they had to change their channel names and privated some of the most egregious videos) kept fucking going, with full monetisation.
