Wasn't a technicality. You have a constitutional right against self incrimination (the right to remain silent), Cosby made a deal  and agreed to a deposition IF he wasn't to be prosecuted. That deposition was used to convict him which was a clear violation of his rights. Adhering to the constitution isn't a technicality...

Another quote from a couple years ago...

What law school did you attend?
That's not a defense genius, being afforded a fair trial is one of your basic rights, therefore it's grounds for the conviction to be overturned on appeal, which will happen, just watch.

Called it.

If the legal system had worked like it's supposed to, this wouldn't even be a news story.

That doesn't mean I think he's innocent.

Because an aspect of the legal system results in something unpopular that doesn't mean it's not correct.

Exactly. No one’s happy that a self-incriminated rapist has been released, but people should be cheering that his rights were protected.

If a fucked up procedure can set a guilty man free, it can also keep innocent people behind bars.

RE: Cosby on the loose.
Like I said earlier, I’d be legitimately shocked if this turned out to be anything short of a Pyrrhic victory for Bill Cosby. He’s out of jail, but it’s not because they’ve proven that the 60-plus women who’ve accused Cosby of sexual assault are any less credible; it’s because the prosecution dropped the ball and used something that, as damning as it was, should not have been included in the trial. Frankly, given his advanced age, it’s a wonder he even got a trial at all (what with statute of limitations being a thing.) Hollywood has rightly burned its bridges with him, his name has become synonymous with sexual predation, and if the claims that he’s blind and infirm are accurate, he couldn’t do anything to make a comeback even if he (or anybody else with the possible exception of Phyllicia Rashad) wanted to. And, frankly, if we’re not going to put him in jail, that position I just described is probably where he should be.

If it was Tyrone Cosby - that poor fuck would get out when shit sticks to the moon.....

glad to see the old man out of jail.. i think people over say 80 should be allowed to chose to stay or go free. no matter who you are what you did or how much time served. seriously. because at that age being a ward of the state put more burden on the state than punishment/justice being served. even if dude was 79 killed someone turned 80 and only served a day.. i say cut him loose.. On probation of course/monitored of course.

now if old dude kills or whatever again. they should outright hang them as soon as the guilt is establish.

He's not celebrating anything. He's saying he called it.

And he did.

I mean, I don't like it any more than you do, but he did call it.
