Just for one hour !

RE: Just for one hour !
I think going faster than light (theoretically) would make you go backwards in time. (Maybe those more acquainted with physics can correct me on that.)

But of course, you'd need infinite energy to go faster than light, so...

Or just take LSD and go to some natural museum where they exhibit dinosaurs.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

We'd have been state champions, no doubt.  No doubt in my mind.

Exploit string theory, go through the BBT singularity, come out anywhere and anywhen you want.

That won't work.  There's no theory that allows FTL travel.  If you could travel near the speed of light, time slows down considerably for you, but then there's that mass thing; you become infinitely massive.  Even if possible, it only allows you to "travel" into the future.  Time slows down for you but not for the rest of the universe, so when you drop back to normal speed, it's been like a thousand years and you still look 25.

I think on a philosophical level traveling back in time would be a disaster.  You could possibly fix one mistake but in the process you would likely cause a dozen worse outcomes.  And would you even remember the mistake you fixed?  Paradoxes are no fun.
Why is it so?

A paradox can be paradoctored.

I'm not going to say we're going back to the dinosaur era, no.
But if we just want to go back in time for one hour. How can we?
opinions?

I really don't ever see a day where si fi "time travel" will be possible. But one most certainly can, in reality, look back in time. Now while I wouldn't be stupid and stare directly at the sun like the former guy did, looking at it indirectly through a filter, the sun you see at the center of our solar system is 8 minutes in the past.
