Who was Jesus?

RE: Who was Jesus?
Just a heads up, Doc.

When you try to post something and it doesn't show up, it's usually because it's been mistakenly caught in our spam filter. We check the filter fairly frequently and most of these posts will be quickly freed up.

PLEASE don't repost it. If it hasn't shown up within a few minutes, you can always ask about it in the Questions For Staff forum.

How would anyone on these forums know? I don't think any of us have been to the center of the Earth.

I've never seen my mum's bumhole, but I'm pretty confident she had one.

Rites, viewpoints and dogmas? Nowhere near my minimum standard for objective evidence, sorry.

There are no "rites" in the Catechism. A "rite" is a liturgical function, carried out according to a prescribed form. There have been many catechisms in the Roman Church, and they get changed with some frequency.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catechism  There may be a few prayers in the old Baltimore Catechism, but the last time I looked at it, I don't think they are any longer there, in the new catechism. The "canon" is normally spoken of as being the formally accepted texts that a given organization (church) accepts as authentically their "Bible". Catholics don't normally call the collective elements of their faith as "the canon" .... sounds all churchy, but that's not what they say about their catechism. They normally call it "the deposit of faith".

RE: Who was Jesus?
Jesus was a character invented to justify a powergrab by a hate filled, misogynistic, theocratic and genocidal group within the Roman Empire. The fact that the descendants of this group still have sway today consists of a crime against humanity.

Oh and OP you should consider yourself lucky getting a good upbringing within the church of child rape.
