It's enormously ironic that Fox made it's name by berating virtually all other media outlets as Leftist, when Fox, of course, was pulling so far to the right that the car was on two wheels. They repeated this over and over until even the most reasonable non-liberal people believed it.
And even if a media source leans left, it doesn't make it an outright leftist outlet. Such an agency would have no room for criticism of liberal policies and office holders. That isn't the case for most of what Fox claims to be the Main Stream media.
Why is it so?

MSNBC is left-leaning, and upfront about it. However, I also find they sometimes give the most balanced coverage of events - better than CNN (don't get me started on Rachel Maddow, though).
Fox is a propaganda network, straight up.

But not as news. It is officially "entertainment" something it uses to try and win court cases when caught in its many many lies. Tucker Carlson had a court case recently where his lawyer argued that what Tucker says is so obviously wrong that no sane person would believe what he said.
