Never said that, never implied that. What I said was that electric cars are a net positive for the environment. This is true whether you believe it or not.

Another topic about EVs.

Here's some food for thought.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Again, you seem to be objecting to something I never said. Are electric cars the panacea that’s going to solve global warming? Nope. Are they the sole answer to the end of fossil fuels? Nope. Are they better for the environment than petrol powered cars?

I'm seeing a weird parallel between Ranaldo's opinions on vaccines and OLB's position on EVs. Both rely on a mix of strawmen and a nirvana fallacy.

Don' t mechanical or electrical much eh?

At all is my guess.

.....

How many years service are we to expect from your wundertoys?

Edit to add.

Look to computers for comparison.

At best you can expect 10 years out of the new electric stuff which is highly computerized.

Know anyone still using a 486 IBM?

I know plenty of guys that drive cars that were antique when a 486 was new. These cars don' t need to be built again.

Your new high tech stuff?
Obsolete and junkyard bound in 10 years.

So add new manufacturing environmental costs based on that.
