No, I think underestimate it vastly. Nor do I buy the doomer mentality that immigration (in the real world, not some made-up thought experiment) Is a significant threat to any of the above, And it also ignores that many of the above elements can be enhanced by immingration.

Show me where people have the right to become a citizen of another country. Do you have the right to be an American? No, you don't. You can't even drive across the border right now.
Canada's immigration policy discriminates in favor of people with skills and money even MORE than the U.S. does, although it does prioritize what the U.S. right-wing calls "chain migration".

Wonder why my German grandfather had to go through Ellis Island when he got to America?
I have all his immigration paperwork. There were a lot of requirements.
Interesting to hear that countries have no control over this sort of thing...must've missed a memo.

Absolutely, but at this point we're only discussing arguments against doing the right thing. Racists believe they are being replaced. It doesn't matter how few or how many refugees or immigrants are accepted for any reason. Whether they're skilled or unskilled or a burden, all of which are facetious concerns in and of themselves. The framing of a simple issue. Their fears aren't based on reason, on numbers, on border policy, on anything in reality beyond the confines of their own broken minds.

I wasn' t there - and neither I suspect - were you.
I do know that it APPEARS that someone took some pictures ( with today' s technology probably several thousand pictures) and found frames that look like border agents are whipping Hatians. If it was video - I think you would probably see the stop action you are seeing is NOT what you were lead to believe.
Reason - no pictures of injury - which would change my opinion drastically.
