The trouble for me is finding the hours in the day to get in some decent cardio with the limitations I have now opposed to when I was in my 20's. I'm always floating the idea of just saying fuck it, cash out on my dayjob and get back into feeling good. Melt a few lbs of butter off and reconnect with my abs.
The Wife tells me not to threaten her with a good time. It's all fun and games..but..is it? I mean, she did meet me back in the day, she wasn't exactly not into me the way I used to be. That's how we got into all this trouble in the first place. I'm pretty sure that this is going to end up being the thing I obsess about in my upcoming midlife crisis.
These past few years I've leaned more into the data and recordkeeping side and less into the hard work out in the sun side, that and the additional time homeschooling, the inversion of income ratio...and it just hasn't been great for my self esteem or my midriff, you know? I don't wanna end up a dumpy househusband with a hobby farm. That wasn't the arrangement when we said I do.

I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I have to say that while I didn't hit the genetics jackpot in some areas, weight has never been an issue for me. Even after my third child when I was a little chunkier than I was used to, I still wasn't considered to be overweight. My mother, father, and siblings are/were healthy weights though in his later years dad did carry a little more around the middle. My brother is a BIG guy but his weight is completely in proportion to his 6'6"+ height and has basically been the same weight since he played football in HS and college. Our local newspapers always referred to him as 'Big Mark lastname' in any articles on football and wrestling. It's not like people had to differentiate him from any other Mark lastname as our last name was pretty unique. He calls me a dwarf. At 5'3", if I stand up real tall, I guess to him I am.

Sunday I did a cardio class via Zoom. It was a bit too intense, so I only did the first 30 minutes. But I stayed signed on so it wouldn't look like I quit. At the end of the session, the instructor told us to be proud of ourselves because we'd done a hard thing that day. I guess I did half of a hard thing, then.

The good thing about being tall is that you see everyone else from the pov of the tops of their silly mop heads. It's an incredible advantage in every situation..as it's impossible, in my experience, to find other people legitimately intimidating or enviable. You're getting reamed out by your betters but the whole time, all you can think about is how silly and impotent they look down there, yelling up at you.

Down to 165, slowly shedding the pounds.

5'3"? Was a time I would have said "a good height for a woman" Today that would probably be politically incorrect.
When I first began dating, all of the girls I went out with were between 5'2" and 5' 4" My ex wife is five feet and half an inch exactly. At one point she worked with a bloke who was 7 feet tall!
I didn't date anyone taller than that range until 1994. She was 5'6".
I worked with quite short Vietnamese man who had a son 6 feet ten inches, and a daughter nearly 6 feet. Both born here. I suspect that might have something to do with the antibiotics fed to livestock here, especially to chickens.
Has the average height increased in the US within say the last 40 years?
Me? I'm 5' 10.5". Currently weigh a bit over 14 stone, or almost 200 lbs. I'm about 20 lb heavier than I like to be. Really don't care for the tits.

I try not to do it too much, else I become obsessed. So pretty much before and after. Then maybe here and there.
