[Serious] That Trans Thread
RE: That Trans Thread
If you let little boys wear dresses they might grow up with strange ideas, like maybe their fashion ideas are their own and not somebody else's.

What rights don't you have?

As for transgenders, not to be discriminated against in employment.

We already have laws against that, even though many different kinds of people experience it. I'm asking about rights I have that you don't.

We simply deserve the same rights as anyone else, no more, no less.

I agree. As far as I can tell you do have the same rights in the US.

OK. I looked at your reference and see where courts have rendered various decisions based on gender status. Welcome to the club. Men have faced this stuff in courts concerning divorce and child custody for over a hundred years. Judges render all kinds of biased decisions. Can you point out one LAW that discriminates against transgenders. We will always have bias and discrimination no matter what laws are created.

Your definition of gender comes down to the indirvidual's choice. I now consider myself to be of the masculine gender. I exhibit what are traditionally considered masculine traits. Tomorrow I can keep those exact same traits and have a revelation that I'm really a woman. Do you agree that I am then a woman? If so, are there any distinguishing traits that separate the genders? If not, then how can gender even exist?

I think your case is called Gender fluid.

But again, if it makes you happy and it doesn't hurt other people it's ok, and normal people don't care about your private feelings, let alone obsess about it.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
