Not telling someone your Trans is not equal to rape by deception and it's certainly not a reason to abuse a transperson or mistreat transpeople.

Just to put this point into perspective for Huggy Bear, there’s a scene from Imitation of Life where the main character Sarah Jane plans to run away with her boyfriend, but there’s one flaw in the plan: Sarah Jane’s a black woman passing for white. And he’s found out. And because of this, he beats the crap out of her. He even drops an N-bomb, which is why I haven’t posted it here, but it’s easy enough to find on YouTube. “Harrowing scene from Imitation of Life”, the video’s called.

Nobody in the movie thinks this deception is justified, and even after she comes home, the adults in her life point out that it wouldn’t have happened if she stopped passing for white. But, given the prejudices against black people, especially when the movie takes place, it makes a depressing amount of sense why she kept doing it (and her mother looking like the platonic form of a Mammy stereotype doesn’t help matters.)

And, the way I see it, those trans girls not telling their boyfriends about their status as trans girls is very much the same sort of thing. Just swap out “white” for “biologically female” and you should be able to tell why they’re doing it. It’s not something I approve of, but it’s depressing how much sense it makes.

Are you suggesting that the abuse @Jehanne suffers isn’t because she’s trans? It was her personal story after all. I don’t know how the people in these videos are relevant to Jehenne’s experience as described in this thread. Do you have the courage to say that to her directly, rather than talk about her, right in front of her, like she doesn’t exist? That’s pretty disrespectful and dehumanizing. Is that the line of discussion you want to take in a thread with a ‘Serious’ tag? I’d think very hard about your next move if I were you.

You just love anecdotes,  don’t you? You want me to dig up some horrible crimes committed by black people and use them as justification for violence against the black community in general, including innocent black men? According to your line of reasoning here, that should be perfectly fair.

No doubt can exist whatsoever that I suffer abuse due to my appearance, as there have been multiple times (have lost count) when I have been walking on public streets in the community where I live (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), and complete strangers come out of their homes to confront me as to, "What are you doing?" in their neighborhood.  I was at a business in a nearby city (Marion), and a customer associate told me, "I see you out walking".  I have also had the police called on me, but, thankfully, they just drive by; usually, such happens when I am traveling and stop in some small Iowa town to finish my daily step count in some new area.  I had a Linn County sheriff's deputy who spent a significant amount of time shadowing my whereabouts one day in one small town (Coggon) after some woman came storming out of her house at me, before turning around and going right back inside without uttering a single word.  I am not sure if he was there to protect me or he thought that I was going to do some petty theft, or whatever.  In any case, it was nice walk; I got to see some purple wildflowers.

The idea that some super hetero person™ might have, that they're being tricked into sucking dick, is amazing for it's breathless lack of self awareness, imo. Guess what, even if you go down and she's really packing the right equipment..at any moment, you can decide to stop, that you're no longer interested. Happened all the time to me. Some abhorrent shit would slip out or suddenly hit my mind in the midst of sweet nothings and I'd say.."you know..on second thought.....". Maybe she kept her bush too tight, and I wasn't cool with diving into the conceptual equivalent of preteen snatch. IDK, we all have our things and our lines. When I am in a full skirt with tee and sunglasses, I am mostly ignored.  A few strangers (mostly women) will say "Hi" to me.  In all the instances that I have been harassed, it's been in pants/shorts.
