Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
RE: Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
IA: I am lord and commander of the universe!

Me: Uh, no you aren't.

IA: What I meant was that my claim to be lord and commander of the universe has never been disputed.

Me: Um, yes it has.

IA: I meant that my claim wasn't disputed within a certain narrow window of time.

Me: Okay and what of it?

IA: It shows that you all are haters who are jealous that I'm lord and commander of the universe.

Me: Uh, suuuure.

Nope. It doesn't take a lord and commander to figure out the obvious, which is that just like George Zimmerman, Kyle Rittenhouse justifiably defended himself. It only takes common sense to know this. It's right there with atheism as the most obvious realities in the world. There is no good evidence for god, just as there was never any good evidence against Kyle. My point was never to say that I'm brighter than anyone else here. There are some very bright people that post here. The team sports mentality is real though. "If he's not on my side politically, I'm not supporting him." With these riots going on and everyone picking their side, many people's brains seem to be in this fog and they haven't been thinking clearly. Major cognitive dissonance about the actual facts of the case. Congrats to you for being one of the few to get it correct from the start. If you say you did, I have no reason not to take your word for it. I'm glad you had the rationality to see from the start that Kyle was not guilty.

And trust me, if you were called a big racist nazi supporter of murderers meanie for having a correct opinion based on the facts like I was, you might feel at least a little urge to come back and say "I told you so."

We live in interesting times. So what you're saying is that the thinking public is extremely polarized. Thank you, Captain Obvious. And you think you're not simply another team player on a different side. Well, whatever you wish to tell yourself is certainly your business. My only complaint was the false claims and bad thinking.

I don't think I'm just another player on a team. I'm politically homeless. I supported BLM for a while, at first. I'm the most pro-social justice anti-SJW you'll find. Kyle probably shouldn't have been there, but you have the right to walk down the street in America. The rapist considered himself the law that night on that street, and wanted to punish Kyle for daring to enter what he saw as HIS space AKA the neighbourhood. The rapist thought he was the law, but Kyle taught him that that was not the case. Raging out and burning shit down is one thing. Go ahead and get the anger off your chest. But attacking a kid is another thing altogether, and I'm just glad things turned out as well as they did. No one was shot that shouldn't have been shot, which could have easily happened. We should be celebrating that no innocent people were shot by accident. I see this as a win all around.

I'm glad we can agree that people's brains are a bit in the fog right now though. It's mob mentality going on. Look at how ridiculous some of the takes are in this thread. Boru basically saying that Kyle is confirmed a racist because Kyle doesn't like it when cops die, so fuck Kyle. WTF lol? The mob mentality is VERY strong and fucks people up.
