Moving on. We have to stop the erosion of these fields, no matter why we think it's happening, and no matter what political viewpoint that solution comes from. Any solution is a good solution, at this point - though we hope to be in a better position to be more selective at some point...at which point I nope out and work on something else. I live in a newly minted deciduous rainforest so there's no shortage of issues. Wer'e right on the margin line of climate change. Everything we do here is a test case for future projects. Our summers are projected to be more like the floridian summers of my youth, and our winters more like the frigid yuletide season The Wife is familiar with, growing up in Connecticut.
Rattlesnakes in sugar cane production doesn't sound like a NEKY issue..but it is, and will be moreso in near future. A near future where ky produces sugarcane, tomatoes, cocoa..........instead of tobacco..which is a dead industry regardless. I was appointed to the board not beacuese I have the right political opinions (I don't...they're too right wing for the state republican lege) - but because I have a history of assisting with industry transition small and large. I'm the watermelon and crenshaw guy. Useles just a few years ago in this state, indispensable today. I like squash.
(the solution is a $40 pair of aluminium waders...btw.....you can get em from granger for a discount on multiple pairs. It's a good time to be a herpetologist in ky - the snakes are migrating northward - there was only one snake guy in the state until recently.)

We don't both know shit. I know plenty, you know nothing. You're a troll. You have nothing of value to add to my comments and you never will. I don't care if communism stops soil erosion...or if capitalism stops soil erosion. Whichever -can- is the right solution. We can suss out our political differences out here when the hills stop getting shorter.
If that means every property owner bands together and stops selling free tillage, or if that means that the people who sell free tillage increase their prices, I'm good either way. What I've found, personally...here..is that if people charge more for their service, and refuse service based on our projections..that leads to an acceptable rate of flow in local creeks - one that promotes, rather than retards, the growth of fish...which are also worth money - money that people find important. When people have economic incentives to produce the outcomes that matter to environmentalists, more of those outcomes are produced. Full stop.
