She even had me sent off to a very nice mental health resort a few years back. It was a few states away, but she felt like it would be worth it. I ended up staying there only a month and a half, came home, right back to square one.
Then you need to impress upon her to find you the right kind of help.

Go to the ER. Say that you are very depressed; they will at least talk to you.

I really hope I shift into my manic phase soon.

With a daughter with addiction problems and an alcoholic mother, I have learned that you can't help someone who doesn't want help.
If you reject the help offered you aren't going to be helped.
If you are having major manic/depressive episodes, I would think that your medication isn't quite correct.

Administrator Notice I think that worked. I have never done a thread split before, so be patient with whatever I goofed up.

This one time, when my mom hadn't been giving me enough money for groceries, I said to my brother, "That's child abuse", and he didn't get my meaning, he just said, "But you're not a child"

So, how did you end up coming back home? Did you just decide to not bother with the treatment, or did you actually try to stick to the regimen, but it just didn't do anything? How many attempted treatments have you tried and failed at? I ask because I know from personal experience that it can take a couple tries to actually find something that works.

Question is, "Will any of our board philosophers join us here?" (A bad joke on my part.)
