Leaked Supreme Court Decision signals majority set to overturn Roe v. Wade
RE: Leaked Supreme Court Decision signals majority set to overturn Roe v. Wade
Just for the record, the “three times” comment wasn’t exaggeration. Remember that primaries are a thing.

It was a great setup.  I had to take the shot.

When the Republican-controlled Senate decided they wouldn't hold a vote on any Supreme Court nominee Obama appointed, there was a good chance Obama could have just decided that, because the Senate wasn't going to do their job of advising and consenting, it would be necessary to just put Garland on the court, and Constitutional scholars have made that exact argument. But he was too busy taking the high road to do so. Frankly, Anton Walbrook had the right idea:

[...] This time you're fighting for your very existence against the most devilish idea ever created by a human brain - Nazism. And if you lose, there won't be a return match next year... perhaps not even for a hundred years.

And the fact that Alito's opinion heavily implies that any rights that did not exist in 1787 are disposable makes the second part more poignant.

And this is from someone who actually DID vote for Obama three times, just to be clear.

Look at Shontel Brown beating Nina Turner recently. How did progressive alternative media react? They immediately came out and said fuck the Squad for being cowards and refusing to endorse Nina (Well, AOC did endorse, but only a day before the election, so it had no impact). Are you going to rag on them for not immediately going to "fuck Ted Cruz for not completely changing his beliefs and endorsing Nina Turner", or does "fuck the Squad for being cowards" actually apply perfectly to the situation, because in theory, the Squad should have wanted to endorse Nina, so therefore they betrayed their own values, and betrayal stings worse than knowing that someone is not with you from the start.

What's easier to do? To convince RBG to retire because she's been diagnosed with multiple types of cancer and is letting her ego get in the way of the prospect that the next President might not be a Dem or you might not outlive the next President because you've already had two types of cancer, or getting anti-abortion Republicans to abandon their deeply held religious beliefs? One of these, which is the prospect of RGB putting the ego aside and retiring while she could have been replaced, is actually a realistic scenario. The scenario where Republicans abandon their religiosity is much less realistic. You focus on what you can actually realistically do, first and foremost. So yes, I do think it makes sense to bring up things that actually could have been done, rather than just venting and yelling screw Republicans and screw Christians at the sky. Again, like I said, you are partaking in hero worship by defending RGBs decision to not retire with 2 types of cancer, but I guess hindsight is 20/20 and we're all human, and RBG felt immortal or something after beating cancer before.

I get the feeling convincing Obama to bypass the senate and appoint Merrick Garland to the SCOTUS would be easier than either one.

If men could get pregnant, abortion would be an app.

If we're going to shift blame from the party of treason why not go all the way back to Lincoln? He fought and won the civil war the result of which was blacks gaining some rights. Women saw this and thought that they too should have rights. So fighting the civil war and freeing the slaves invariably resulted in women demanding voting rights, which lead to abortion rights, which lead to the six Roland Freislers banning abortion to show women that they should only be considered as things.

I guess this means we can look forward to an abortion app.

Neo, you’re far too intelligent to not understand the difference between biological sex and gender.
