You think our govt is using Keynesian economics because the masses want it? No. The money handlers want it. With that said if a libertarian govt was in control they would not say anything to the money handlers about what they can and cant do (for the most part). The money handlers would have gotten together and ran their system off of the keynesian system anyways.

I didn't want to pipe into the conversation, but I have to say that auditing the Fed & reverting back to a gold standard is actually a big deal to the official Libertarian party. The Libertarian party has plenty of things wrong with it, but sucking up to the Fed isn't one of them.

BTW, I say official, because I don't want you to get them confused with the faux-libertarian Republican party which recently shot down a bill that would force the Fed to be much more transparent.

Where have you been? Deregulation has been on the agenda since Reagan. We havent been adding more regualtions..we have been removing them.

And in quite a few instances, instead of getting the regulations removed, they just "captured" the regulatory agency.
