Here is the etymology of Muhammad's name:

Wikipedia -- Muhammad (name)

Some names are "adjectives", others are names of famous "landmarks/monuments", others are "actions" ! just like the adjective "Mohammed/Muhammed", which means "The Praiseworthy".

And, Mohammed was mentioned in the bible, it haunted some Chritian fanatic monks even to say that Mohammed is the antichrist:

Wikipedia- Muhammad and the Bible

Quote:Arguments that prophecies of Muhammad exist in the Bible have formed part of Muslim tradition from the early history of Muhammad's Ummah (Arabic: أُمّة community). A number of Christians throughout history, such as John of Damascus and John Calvin, have interpreted Muhammad as being the  of the New Testament.

Anyways, my "electronic translator called google translate" clearly translates this Hebrew word to "Muhammed":

It does not. It contains a word that looks like ‘Muhammad’. It is not a personal name. I have a mate called ‘Jack’. In the sentence, ‘I used a jack to change my tire’, the word ‘jack’ is not a personal name.

That's odd. Google translate here does not translate that as Muhammed. Can you provide a screen capture showing that yours does?

Let me ask, no silliness about a very mediocre mystery book I recently read.  The protagonist detective is relieved at catching the murderer and says the following:

"That was as close to being a victim as I ever want to get, I don't think this line of work is for me anymore. I have my future all ahead of me and I think I might take up that cruise offer."

In your opinion would you say this book has anything to do with the Muslim faith?

asking again

Action words are called verbs.

Adjectives describe or clarify nouns.

For anyone wondering what I was getting at with asking Winter about the last words in a book I recently read :"That was as close to being a victim as I ever want to get, I don't think this line of work is for me anymore. I have my future all ahead of me and I think I might take up that cruise offer.".

I was going to point out how surprised I was he didn't acknowledge his god being in the text, (Put in bold). In this case, it's a coincidental string of letters but the point is the same, You can't make words mean what you wantthem to just to fit a narrative you're trying to spin.

That's the only point of interpretation; to make it mean what you want it to mean.

I'm using that advice the next time I have to assemble something from IKEA.  No little piece you DO go into slot B!

That all languages, as with all life, evolve from the same original language, I just don't get WH's point. Given the number of words in both the OT & NT, it would be astonishing if the word "Praiseworthy" never showed up?!
