Listening to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I love the movie in the original Swedish but can't really sew and deal with subtitles.

Roger Zelazny's The Dawn of Amber. Don't know how I missed this one. Bought the first one in a news stand in Callao, Peru. That was ... a while ago.

If they absolutely
had to continue beating that dead horse, Betancourt was a good choice.

I just finished Alpha God: The Psychology of Religious Violence and Oppression, in which the author--Hector Garcia--argues that the evolutionary sciences, especially evolutionary psychology, will reveal to us how and why we have created the God of the Abrahamic religions. In the author's own words:
Understanding God, therefore, requires an understanding of man's evolved legacy within primate social hierarchies; and understanding religious violence and oppression requires taking a careful look at how thoroughly we have projected our own psychology onto our vision of the sacred.
I definitely have this book on my recommend list.

I finished the book mentioned above...now to decide if I go for the next one in the series or take a detour to something else.

I don't have the attention span or desire to read like I used to, it seems. Read forty-eight pages the first day I purchased the book, and haven't opened it again since then.
I have done the same with several books I've purchased in the past few years.

Audible has turned out to be the thing for me. I can listen to books while I sew. And sometimes in the evening or on the weekend when husband is watching something that doesn't interest me, I put on my headphones and listen to a book.
