Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-AR) faces new and deepening questions in the so-called "Podiumgate" controversy, following a new report that she tried to alter records about an invoice for a $19,000 lectern she purchased with a state government credit card, according to the Associated Press.
"The Arkansas GOP paid for the lectern in September, but the words 'to be reimbursed' were only added later to the original invoice, records released this week show. The undated reimbursement note adds to weeks of scrutiny over the purchase, which has dominated political talk in Arkansas," reported Andrew DeMillo. "The Republican Party of Arkansas reimbursed the state for the purchase on Sept. 14, and Sanders’ office has called the use of a state credit card for the lectern an accounting error. Sanders’ office said it received the lectern in August."
Prior reports have indictated, however, that the reimbursement was only arranged after reporters started asking questions.

19K for a fucking podium?? What does it do - shit gold coins? Dispense ice cream? Diaper your baby? Poor people in Arkansas need to get out their torches and pitchforks.
Here’s the actual podium:

The Republican Party
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I see the Republicans have nominated Scalise for Speaker. This sets up an interesting, but admittedly far-fetched scenario.
Scalise is disliked - sometimes vehemently so - by at least 99 Republican and all Democratic House members. He needs 217 votes from the entire House to be elected. If just 5 Republicans cross the aisle and vote for the Democratic nominee (certain to be Hakeem Jeffries), you could end up with a Republican majority House led by a Democratic Speaker.
The odds of this happening are somewhere between ‘none’ and ‘have you lost your fucking mind, Boru?’, in no small part because any defecting Republicans would be almost guaranteed to lose their committee seats and their next election.
Fun to think about, though.

Hey remember when the GOP mocked Biden for slipping down some stairs and used that to prove Biden was unfit for office
So when will I see the Fox News/ Daily Wire segment demanding he step down?
