Dude ain't right at all. The torture and killing of small animals isn't unusual in the case of serial killers. It's their jumping off point. Your linked article reports that upon finding the whale's carcass, RFKJ, instead of calling authorities, took it into his head to go fetch his chainsaw, sever the whale's head, and pack it onto the roof of his vehicle for a long drive home. Blood dripping into the vehicle's cabin, passengers forced to wear plastic covers, the whole nine yards. Then there's the whole bear thing. An inordinate fascination with dead animals. I was curious about them when I was a boy, but even then I sure didn't try to start up a goddamned collection -- unless you count fossils. Motherfucker has CREEEEEEEEEPY tattooed on his forehead in capital letters. ETA: From here on out, I will no longer refer to him as RFK Jr. I will always refer to him as Captain Ahab.
