Republican Josh Hawley proclaims there's only 'one gender' in fundraising email (msn.com)

The Republican rush to oppose transgender people has taken a turn in Missouri, where Sen. Josh Hawley ® is up for reelection.

In a fundraising email to his supporters, Hawley asked folks to give to his campaign so he could help stop schools from teaching that there's more than one gender.

Let that sink in a while.  This supposed uber-hetero thinks there's only one gender.  

I suppose we can add ‘gender’ to the list of words Hawley doesn’t understand.

MAGA Republicans are now accusing their own party of election fraud after losing primaries

As the Beast's Kelly Weill wrote, "From Colorado to Florida, a new cohort of Republican primary candidates have adopted a local version of Donald Trump's election denial, refusing to accept their losses, even if it means accusing their own party of election tampering ahead of the general election."

Case in point, she wrote, is Tina Peters who lost her bid to be the Republican nominee for secretary of state in Colorado as she was buffeted by an indictment on 10 counts related to election equipment tampering by a grand jury.

As Weill wrote, Peters is not acknowledging her loss to eventual winner Pam Anderson by a substantial margin -- even after an expensive recount -- keep her from alleging fraud and roiling the waters.

Remember Christian Walker? The ‘I-like-manly-men-but-don’t-call-me-gay’ son of GOP candidate Herschel Walker made a big deal a couple of months ago about upping sticks from California and relocating to Florida.

The rightwing influencer repeatedly took to social media to celebrate moving from a blue to a red state and praised Governor Ron DeSantis for introducing his notorious ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill.

Just last week Walker posted about how nice it was not to be walking the streets of Los Angeles.

Well, it seems that the move to Miami has not been all sunbeams and rainbows. Earlier this week, Walker posted a video to his Instagram stories in which he revealed that leaving Los Angeles had not been as easy as he imagined. In fact, he said if he could snap his fingers and move back, he would.

In a subsequent posting, he said, “I feel like I’m going through the worst breakup of my life. That’s the best way to describe the feeling. I love LA so much so I’m heartbroken. I’m sure this is a transition period and I’ll feel better soon. See you at Starbucks tomorrow.”

However, online, sympathy for Walker seemed in remarkably short supply.

“He realized conservatives only like him as an online token and not irl lmao” said one person on TikTok, summing up the thoughts of many.

“Almost like he was sheltered in CA and FL is showing him the truth of ppl with similar mindsets to him,” said another.

Commissioner Appointed By Ron DeSantis Resigns After Klan Robes Photo Surfaces

A Republican county commissioner in Florida was forced to resign his post after someone dug up a photo of him at a costume party, grinning with his arms raised in clear Klu Klux Klan robes.

Gadsden County Commissioner Jeffery Moore was appointed to head the state’s only majority black county by Governor Ron DeSantis, who himself is facing accusations of racism after he essentially conned a crowd of migrants and flew them to Martha’s Vineyard as a political stunt.

Moore resigned “abruptly,” according to local reports, shortly after the photo began circulating in the “local community.” His letter of resignation did not specify a reason for his departure, or for his ending his campaign for the same seat on the board after he was appointed just two months ago to fill a vacancy.

Apparently, the shit that went down in Martha’s Vineyard was even worst than I had heard. Not that the refugees were wreaking havoc on the island, but that somehow, the level of bullshit that DeSantis plied them with was even more insidious than previously reported (at least on this thread): apparently, they were given information about how to register addresses to the wrong agency, so that, even if Martha’s Vineyard did accept them, they’d still be at risk for deportation anyway. In addition, they were scheduled for immigration court dates. Not on Martha’s Vineyard (there isn’t one there), and not in Boston’s JFK Federal Building (the only immigration court in the state), but all over the country.





Also worth noting, apparently, DeSantis and Abbott were apparently hoping to own the libs by doing THE SAME EXACT THING THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION IS DOING, except more chaotically.
