Especially since his own link showed TWO graphs:

  • Absolute worth of exports / $
  • (Exports/GDP) / %
It also showed that, while exports may have grown the PERCENTAGE of exports in relation to that GDP has been on the decline since 2006.
The link he posted even provides a graph showing (total = im + export) trade as a % of GDP. It has been going down from >60% to >35% since 2006

He does not really seem to read (or comprehend) the links he posts himself. Its shocking, i know. Read
You seem to be pretty bad at math and logic. If exports are growing fast and share of exports is falling then total GDP is growing even faster.
Exactly
BUT
Growth ofexports ALONE does not show this, only growth of exports in combination with it being percentage of the GDP.  Read
Your original claim was that Chinas GDP is growing because exports are growing, which is demonstrably false.

You better learn some math and logic or how to make your point. Either way, stop projecting your own ignorance onto others.

Right after WWII* the German economy was growing with stellar numbers! They must have been doing things SO much better way back then.

*when German econony was nearly non-existent

Again, we are discussing long term competitiveness not quality of life.
Again, the point went over your head. Its not about quality of life, but the difference netween absolute vlaues and relative, like percentages. I was trying to teach you math, not humanism. That the job of Helios.
But yea, looks like we both failed on you, sorry.

But ill try a final time: Its easier to earn 100% more when you have 1€ than when you already have 1bn€, thus your claim that country x has a bigger rate of growth is meaningless......without further context. Its your big weakness (or part of your plan to sell your snake oil) to present factiods out of context.

Frankly, this talk about how it's better to get rid of the welfare state for this abstract number reminds me of a time when a certain European country did something very similar*. It didn't work out too well in the long term.

Actually, the nazis EXPANDED Bismarcks welfare state, a LOT (paid sick leave, improved health insurance, etc.). I can give you many more examples. You will be rather surprised!!! Last but not least "Kraft durch Freude", Wilhelm Gustloff, the monstrous holiday resorts at the baltic coast, the ruins are still there.

The point about fascism is: The welfare was not for the (individual) peoples´sake, but for the community. The individuals serve the community not vice versa (in nazism). Nazis did only care about the health of individuals as long as they were contributing to the goals of socienty.

Also the nazis had a rather tight definition of (domestic) "society", thats what this propaganda pic is all about. Sick, foreigners, and other "worthless" scum is to be excluded, because they only are a burden.....to socienty.

Sp, yeah, your last statement was the (most) important part of your post and spot on!  Great

You are confusing the biggest with the best. Brazil GDP per capita is $9k while Chile GDP per capita is $16k among the highest in Latin America.

Good point. The top five incomes in Latin America are:

Aruba - $46,309
Puerto Rico - $43,280
Guyana - $42,647
Bahamas - $39,785
Panama - $36,370

My claim is that even if China's economic statistics is a lie, exports is a good indirect indicator of general health of Chinese economy. And their exports are growing VERY fast.

But China's GDP PPP is bigger than US GDP PPP. So why are they growing faster?
