I also just found out about a somewhat similar incident: one prominent Republican Congressman recently heavily implied that another House Republican (specifically Josh Smith) was a closeted gay man. That Republican Congressman who outed the other? None other than Matt Gaetz.

Yes, the same person who's been implicated in sex trafficking and sex with minors still thinks he has the sort of moral high ground to make this sort of shit work. Then again, this is the Republican electorate we're talking about.

Technically, it’s a list of Republicans with sex crime and abuse allegations. Of the 25 on that particular iteration, only four seem to have been convicted.

Donald Trump Jr., co-owner of the Publishing Company that labeled MTG as “the most dangerous woman in Washington” on their website, expressed his concern on Twitter, decrying the situation as an act of “Censorship.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced an amendment to reduce another LGBTQ+ Biden administration official’s salary to $1, and she used her speech on the House floor to spread conspiracy theories and make transphobic jokes.

Greene introduced an amendment to the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2024 to reduce Assistant Secretary of Health Admiral Rachel Levine’s salary to $1 by saying that she wants to “castrate” Levine’s pay while standing next to a sign that read, “There are TWO genders: MALE & FEMALE ‘Trust The Science!'”
