South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem delivered comments today suggesting that she believes that Texas was one of the original colonies that signed the articles of confederation or a participant in the constitutional convention.

Noem: Texas and the 13 original colonies would have never signed the treaty that formed the first constitution of the United States if they didn't think their right to protect themselves and defend their own people was protected.

The only problem is Texas didn’t become a state until 1845

The Oregon Supreme Court has just ruled that the 10 Republican state senators who staged a record-long walkout last year to stall bills on abortion, transgender health care and gun rights CANNOT run for REELECTION.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Let's hope that the pendulum swings back from crazy and stalls on the return swing.  Great

She should have kept working at that bowling alley. The US would have been a better place...probably.

Well, that's just plain dumb and stupid. American alligators aren't especially aggressive (except in the mating season), and they'd get all tangled up in Abbott's razor wire. If she had half a brain, she'd be endorsing a Border Hippo Defense Force. Hippos can fuck some stuff up.*
