My wife selected a few comments from Fox News under election-related articles. A fair number of them were critical of Trump in various ways. These stood out:

Stop living beyond your means, we were on track to a great recovery economically, legislatively, socially, and militarily. So you had to pay a little extra in the short run, so what! It’s called sacrificing for the good of the future. Now all of that will be reversed and halted for you to experience and enjoy. They (left) don’t care about your well-being or affordability. The results are the vast majority of Americans need an education and stop watching the media's non-stop lies and propaganda. Americans just voted for 2 more years of Biden/Harris policies/economy because all they have otherwise is TDS and go get Trump. It's a shame. This nation has serious issues. We are about to see with our own eyes that electing a Democrat to solve the "affordability" problem is like giving gasoline to an arsonist.

The party that wants to eliminate the fossil fuel industry is not going to lower your gas or food prices. Okay? The party that wants to flood the nation with millions of foreigners is not going to make the job market any less competitive or the housing market any cheaper. The party that wants to defund the police and eliminate ICE and open our borders is not going to lower crime.

We’re suffering the effects of 50 years of social engineering in the schools, dumbing down the nation so badly that if it could be fixed it will take decades to change attitudes.

This isn’t hard to figure out. Biden destroyed the economy and Trump said he’d fix it on day one. Then he kicked off a trade war that most people couldn’t comprehend and assumed was making things more expensive. Then the Iran war which certainly made things more expensive. All the good stuff like closing the border, deporting illegals, crime reduction, DOGE and the successes in saving taxpayer money from waste and fraud…was overshadowed by the cost of living with the icing being a war many people didn’t want. Add the bluster and stupidity with renaming things and people got sick of it all. So the GOP got crushed. It was that simple.

There is another factor involved in Tennessee and other Southern States, they have been invaded by liberals from California and other liberal states and brought their politics with them. They are ruining what brought them there by dragging their liberal agendas with them.

They don't remember that the last downturn began with the pandemic, which started when Trump was still in power, and that it was worldwide. They don't understand that green policies can help the economy, and can help us avoid the expense of future disasters. They don't understand that even illegal laborers contribute to the economy, and that most Americans don't want the jobs they filled. They don't even know the differences between communists, socialists, democratic socialists, and democrats. Instead, too many believe in conspiracy theories and the "good versus evil" narratives they are fed from Republican scare-mongers.

If religion has taught us one thing it is that people believe what they wish to be true, regardless of what is probably true.
