What are some things that you strongly wish were common knowledge?

Taking too much caffeine (more than 400 mg) can cause issues in perfectly healthy people.  Prescription medications will only compound the problem; it is probably impossible to model or predict some of the chemical reactions (especially, side reactions) that could take place.

Some people die of anaphylactic shock if they eat peanut butter. Humans have a vast array of complicated chemical reactions, many which are not shared from one person to the next. There may be a day when the genome is completely mapped, and every chemical that a person may be exposed to is correlated with said chemical's effects. Not happening anytime soon, methinks. And then we'd all have to trudge through the documentation to figure out what will or won't kill us, and whether it'll be fast or slow. Given the penchant for people to watch the lunacy on tictoc, I don't hold out a lot of hope.

I haven't watched a lot of it. One thing I recall, someone was pushing some sort of plastic gizmo to use in the clothes dryer to soften clothes, instead of using dryer sheets (like "Bounce"). Neglecting any potential harmful effect from the chemicals in those sheets, the claim was made that those chemicals "clog the screen" in the dryer. That's, prima facie, absurd. No air would flow through the screen, and the clothes wouldn't be dried, if it was clogged.
