Earth's recent climate spiral.

It’s not about any “payment” anymore. I’m in Ankara and we used to have knee level snow in this place when I was a kid. Today, you could be out for a picnic because it’s so sunny and dry.

Do you really think it’s still about payment?

Should?  That's a strangely precise recommendation.  Do statistics like this just come shooting out of your ass, unbidden?

His information is false and I don’t know what game he is playing Smile

Being poor doesn't justify destruction of the planet. They should bear responsibility for their actions despite their income level

If the devloped west does not bare their greater responsibility incurred while accumulating their greater share of the loot, then they can give up their greater share of the loot and go back to live a developing world’s standard of living.

If they are willing to do so, and after they have already done so, then they can demand the rest of developing world near equal share of the responsibility.

if they are not willing to give up the loot or take a greater responsibility commensurate with having accumulated more loot, then the west had better shut up about responsibility when the developing world is working to accumulate as much loot as the west had already done.

I think the global north should have only two priorities for the developing world (just two):
1) Support female education and female jobs all around the world (so they will be able to have control over their own bodies)
2) Transfer technologies to the global south (free of charge) And by this I don’t even mean nuclear. I mean clean energies.

Every murderous and/or slaving culture has to come to terms with that at some point, sure - but we're talking about contributions to global warming are we not?

The developing world isn't even in the running..but it would be lovely if the developed world could come up with a solution to that problem before those countries who have contributed little and suffered much get to dumping shitloads of greenhouse gasses, I think.  The alternative is a bunch more Indias and Chinas....and that's obviously not looking great.

Have you had any thoughts on who would pay, how they would pay, and what those funds would go to?  Would it look something like this?

or more like this?

See 26 % and not 76 % Smile

Solution would cost $60 trillion according to climate alarmists. I just want 3rd world countries to provide their fair share of funding

Climate alarmist?

If the historic emission is not there, then the current emission would also not be dangerous.

Are you denying that US emissions are falling since late 90s
https://www.macrotrends.net/countries/US...-emissions
or that emissions of developing countries are growing rapidly
https://www.energylivenews.com/2021/02/0...d-in-2020/
https://fortune.com/2019/11/20/china-coa...te-change/
or that by 2100 when billions of people will supposedly die from climate change cumulative CO2 emissions would overwhelmengly come from low income countries?

Just check the links he gave. I think he is messing with you Smile

It doesn't. I am a climate alarmist and I invented climate change to serve the cause of great replacement theory or whatever Smile

They can afford it.
No, they can't not without plunging themselves into ruin.

Yes they can. India is making huge investments into solar and wind energy. But if the West supported them, they could be building nuclear plants in return for not using coal anymore. And this could be done immediately. So things are happening right now but it could be accelerated. That’s my point of view.

(+ female professional schools in countries like India. That woul be a good one too Smile )

Disaster is appropriate punishment for those who are responsible for destruction of our planet.

It’s not about punishment. We need to evolve… or die actually. That’s how I would formulate it Smile
