Anti-Hijab movment in Iran

Today, it was written in the news that the American government has no plan to overthrow the Islamic government, and most of all, it wants the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to remain in power and make reforms.

Meanwhile, the secular culture of the Iranian people in the Middle East is even higher and stronger than the Turkish people.
Iranian people want a new government with a constitution based on human rights laws. We want similar to the constitution of European countries.

The people of Iran will become a good ally for the people of Europe, America and Israel.

Yes, I can see a day in the not-too-distant future when Iranians and Israelis will march arm-in-arm down the flower-strewn path of brotherhood and acceptance.

Or course, I can also foresee a bicycle path between New Zealand and California...

To be fair, American does have a history of trying to fix other countries messes.

We do.  I am just curious...there are people who seem to think we are obligated and others who think we should just stay home.

At this point, I think we should just stay home.

I tend to agree. For all the good the US has done in the world (and it's massive, whatever some people say), there are times when American foreign policy resembles nothing so much as a bull in a china shop.

If you're not going to stay home, at least think the interventions through a bit more carefully.

It’s OK in the sense that it doesn’t violate any rules. As a courtesy, though, it’s considered good form to place a post that long in hide tags. It just makes the thread more manageable if someone wants to quote you in a reply.

No worries.

no issue. I'll try to do so in the future Smile

I’d prefer you would say “as strong as that of the Turkish people” Our secular republic dates from 1923. And although there is a strong populist / political-islamist movement in my country that is (I believe) backed by countries like Russia, Iran, China and also the Salafist Gulf-states, many of us are ready to make the same sacrifices that are being made by Iranian men and women today.
This doesn’t mean I do not appreciate the value of the courage that are being showed by Iranian Men, Women and children today.

I Just read an article today. The regime is saying that Mahsa Amini had a long standing brain condition. The regime is also saying that Sarina Esmaeilzadeh (who was a 16 year old kid by the way) fell from a rooftop on her own.
This means that the regime isn’t even able to assume the responsibility of its own murderous nature. I really don’t know how long a regime like this can continue to exist even if the streets didn’t demand a radical change an even if the international community was more tolerant toward them. It’s the same as Russia. I think that they themselves don’t even know what they are doing or what it is that they are trying to achieve.

The people of Iran have not asked the US to spend money to overthrow the theocratic regime of Iran, but Biden has said that his plan is primarily to preserve the theocratic regime in Iran.
Also, now that the people of Iran are fighting, Biden is giving billions of dollars to the Iranian government.

USA is enemy of secularist of Iran. USA helps islamic government.
People of iran always thinks, USA created Islamic government iran in 1979..
