Comparing someone's legitimate relationship with being a serial killer or a drug lord ....... Nice

Again comparing LGBT people to drug lords and serial killers.....

This is totally not what I wanted to say. What I said is that homophobia is real and that (yes) although there is no punishment in the Holy Book for homosexuality there is a degree of condemnation (because of the story of Sodom and Gomora). Some may interpret this as the “corruption” or “decadence” of this society (that is apart from their widespread practice of homosexuality). But I believe there is a degree of condemnation (criticism) as well.
I may have expressed myself badly because I was emotional due to the hate demonstrations that happened in Istanbul at that date. I also very critical of the anti-LGBTQ attitudes in Putinist countries and the anti-LGBTQ movements displayed by far-right movements in Europe. I am a supporter of same-sex marriage and even same sex couples being allowed to raise children (although I still have some inner doubts on this last issue, but I usually won’t express myself negatively on that).
And as of History: I wrote it somewhere but I unwillingly erased my own message. No one was obsessed with homosexuality in the Eastern cultures until the second half of the 19th century. It simply existed and it was widely tolerated if you maintained a certain level of discretion. As the Western influence grew and the interaction with more Christian doctrines increased and religious people increasingly became more zealous, dogmatic and fanatical and the İdeology of political Islam started to emerge as an alternative to the nationalist / republican ideologies that also started to be imported from the west, the obsession with some bodily, reproductive, matrimonial, sexual issues increased.
Example: During the reign of the Sultan Abdulhamit II, Western women and Christian minorities of Istanbul could live a life that is similar to the life of westerners in any magor European city. But in other Muslim majority districts, the Sultan had adopted a law forcing women to wear black clothes similar to the clothes of Iranian Women today (with eyes being the only visible part if it was visible at all) and women who saw a man approaching from the other side of the street, had to crouch with their backs to the wall so that the man that was passing by, wouldn’t have thoughts of sin in his mind.
This is a total disconnection with the Early 18th century Empire during which (just like the Renaissance / Baroque period in Europe) women were seen and painted with more loose clothes, the interest in several types of visual arts and music had increased and the wealthy class wanted to display its “joy of life” with several extravagances and increased interest in bodily pleasures.
So all I am saying is that those political islamists who have organized a hate demonstration in Istanbul the 19th of October this year are wrong about almost everything. And what I wanted to say is “Ok, they may not like it (I cannot be inside their brains) but still, they cannot not tolerate people because they don’t like it” That’s what I wanted to say.
2) Yes. And this why I am saying that there should be no religious indoctrination before the age of 18. See Aytullah Knomeini is said to be a man who for some period of his life lived a totally secluded life devoting himself the Study of sacred texts and religious practice. It is said that during his stay in Najaf in Iraq he moved only from his house to the mosque and from the mosque to his house. And look how wrong he is about almost everything. Look what he created. He is just like Lenin who wanted an utopia for the entire mankind to live in yet succeded only in creating one of the horrible dystopias of the world whose effects have still remained to the present day.
So on this issue of interpretation. Everything I have said so far can and is being interpreted by extremists as the exact opposite. Just like Putin’s Propaganda has created a parallel universe that exists as an alternate reality to the factual truths about the war in Ukrainian and the current situation in Russia and the world. So you need to be an adult to get into these things. You need to choose carefully and the best method is to try to understand the scriptures carefully and as they are without ever completely trusting any interpretation that comes from a source other than the scripture itself. I think this method should apply to the other Holy Scriptures as well.
And again this can only be a relation between the individual and the being that is perceived as the “Supreme Being” by this individual. In the 2013 movie “15 years as slave” with Chiwetel Ejiofor, there was even a rapist slave master who would read the Bible to his slaves claiming that “The scripture allowed him to do” all the atrocities he was inflicting on his captives in the movie. This is why spiritual practice (of any sort) has to remain individualized and (if possible) reserved to the adult mind that first went through the stages of learning basic philosophy, history, mathematics etc. (perhaps with some basic information on religious issue). Than this person can attempt to learn what’s really happening through his/her own spiritual studies. Than (I believe) there is some great deal of teachings and information that can be very useful to individuals from all walks of life if these individuals are able to dedicate some amount of time to their spiritual practice and studies. Or that’s how I see it

I found a nice article on the shifting perception of LGBTQ persons among Muslims living in the US. Since 2007 the acceptance level of LGBTQ persons by traditional Muslims has increased from 27 % to 52 %. Today there are more people with this type sexual preferences who are still religious and are able to say “I think God loves me exactly as I am”. And the policy of many mosques is also shifting. The “you are not welcome here” approach is now leaving its place to a more tolerant “What you are doing in your private law is not my business and everyone is welcome to the house of God” approach. Here is the link to the article:
