Democracy is on the ballot, might be worth getting up for.

That's kinda the point of voting, right? to elect representatives by the majority. And I agree that this is an important responsibilty for all citizens.

This graphic is pretty condescending and dismissive of the fact that Democrats have not made the most of their time in power. They're not even going to attempt to do anything about abortion until after the midterms so they can use it to get votes. Again.

Gonna roll over for the Dems when they don't deliver for the tenth year in a row? Oh, don't tell me - the Republicans are just so much worse, we have to vote! Yeah, once again, the Democrats' only election strategy is to say "We're not Republicans." That'll do it...

Republicans are heavily favored to win the House. Senate will probably be decided by a runoff election in Georgia, Democrats will likely keep their razor thin majority.

This year I'm more focused on my local elections. Nothing significant otherwise where I'm at.

I will never vote Republican, no matter how badly the Democrats screw-up. What's the alternative to this?

Republicans can't only not govern they don't want to govern they want the government to fall apart so they can sell everything off to their billionaire friends and essentially turn the US into Galt's Gulch-style dystopian hellhole mixed with Christain nationalism and some good old-fashioned racial and class segregation.

Here's a link to Total Public Debt as Percent of Gross Domestic Product.  I use this data to judge how an administration has fared.

Averages voters are too dumb or dogmatic to consider it.  Prediction?  Pain.

The whole process just depresses me now. I did vote. I am not apathetic, just not terribly optimistic. sigh
