It's the pictures, and not the thoughtful, intelligent and well-written articles that are important.

I ducked out during a quiet moment in the film.  There are many moments like that.

The 48 frames got stuttery a few times in my theater, but overall the film was beautiful and engaging.  The eco-moral messaging was too in-your-face at a few moments.  Is subtlety not a thing any more?  My family thought it was a better movie than the first.  For me, its about equal, though this one was visually amazing, and I did care about the characters a bit more.

I haven't seen the first Avatar so doubt I will be watching the second one. From the clips I saw when the first one came out, it simply didn't hold my interest.
