McCarthy loses sixth vote -- now is their opportunity to Dump Trump!! Join the Democrats now to vote for Jefferies and that will be the end of Trump and Republican extremism. History has shown that voters will punish losers; just remember what happened to the Dover, Pennsylvania schoolboard.

A GOP vote for Jefferies is tantamount to political suicide, and the House is chock full of invertibrates on that side of the aisle.

There's been some talk that Republicans are offering Democrats a higher ratio on committees (and even some chairs) if enough of them will vote 'present' to lower McCarthy's threshold.

This doesn't just smack of desperation, it screams it.

Apparently, there is an edit war going on the Freedom Caucus Wikipedia page as some editors are listing "facism" in the Ideology section. Shoe fits, in my opinion. Rapid updates to the page are continuing.
