Kevin McCarthy loses 6th vote for Speaker

It’s probably not, but short of convincing 5 republicans to vote for Hakeem Jeffries just so they can get on with their lives, it might be the only way anyone gets anywhere.

That would require conducting House business, which they can't do until they elect a speaker.

This is why I think that Trump is going to be elected in 2024 -- it will come down to a question of whom you hate more?

That’s an odd justification for that belief. Democrats hate Trump, independents hate Trump, moderate Republicans hate Trump, and some of the MAGAt faithful are beginning to hate Trump.

Strikes me as a strange path to a win.

They could tell the Freedom Caucus that there’s free cocaine in the bathroom, then hold the vote while they’re out looking for it.

Seriously, though - does it surprise anyone that the party who tried to destroy democracy turned out to be no good at running a democracy?

Here is exclusive video of Kevin McCarthy between votes.

He’s lost the ninth, looks like he’s losing the tenth.

Since his card’s been punched ten times, does he get a free sub?

They might need more popcorn....In 1855, it took the House a record 133 rounds of voting to elect a speaker.
