That can't be done. It doesn't work.
I don’t think anyone is burning “a book” to prevent other people from reading it.
We entered the mass production age sometime in the 18xx and we entered the electronic information age around 1955 (I think this is when at Bell labs, the first silicon based transistor was made).
Along with many other events around these time periods, we ended up with high speed printing machines.
You can find newspaper all over the streets.
Thanks to the information age, you can find CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes all over the streets.
People throw away working computers with multi gigabyte hard drives.
Your Koran is all over the place. You can easily find it on the web.
Some isamic organization can pay and have the Koran printed and they could leave it at bus stops or at motels or fly a plane over the city and throw millions of copies.
There used to be some organization that left Bibles at motels. They called it gideon’s Bible or something.
I’m sure that you can find some mormon young guys and asked them for a copy of the Book of Mormon. I’m sure they give it for free.

That might be true if not for the hundreds of millions of copies readily available.
Florida tried to ban a number of books and only ended up making them best sellers on Amazon.
Protecting a holy book means you find something redeemable, admirable or irreplaceable about its contents.
Even The Great Pastafarian Tome itself handed to us by the almighty closes with FSMs final words "Verily I must return to the cosmos but bestow my last wisdom unto you, tis but a book. True knowledge is experienced my children. Don't take the life I have given too seriously. You only live once." Ramen
"For the only way to eternal glory is a life lived in service of our Lord, FSM; Verily it is FSM who is the perfect being the name higher than all names, king of all kings and will bestow upon us all, one day, The great reclaiming" -The Prophet Boiardi-

I didn't say it was rational.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Yes. And That’s what the Swedish Government is saying. And they are right, you may be not liking a book, a book being a physical object you have the right to burn it. That’s their law.
But look at his face: This is a Hitler loving / Muslim hating psychopath. That’s what he is doing. So I reserve the right to call him a SoB. And that’s my freedom of expression.
Being a Muslim hater or a Hitler lover does not make a legal act, no matter how petty or spiteful, by that person a hate crime. Your free expression of your opinion has been noted, please respect the same right in others, thanks.

The general principle is that generally, the only people who burn books are religious fundamentalist nutters or fascists and that we really shouldn't be emulating them. If you don't like a book don't read it. You don't have to burn it.
While my inner librarian agrees with you, and shrieks at the very idea of defacing a book in any way, shape, or form, the fact is that book burning is not a crime and is an expression of opinion. Puerile, senseless, and inconsiderate of the feelings of others? Probably, but none of that makes it either illegal or objectively wrong.

Oh it shouldn't be illegal but should be called out as a cowardly and childish act.

When bullies realize something makes you furious, they repeat it and keep doing it until you explode from provocation.
It's called "provoking".
It's childish to go angry with every provoking attempt.
In other words; let the monkey repeat their provoking attempt. It's wise to drink ice coffee while watching.
